City SkylineNew Zealand’s culinary scene is internationally recognised. From the many innovative dishes to the amazing wine, restaurants in both the South and North island offer fantastic cuisine. Here are 4 you should head to if paying a visit:

Mudbrick Restaurant and Vineyard
Award-winning food and wine is what has made this restaurant a famous one – but its picturesque view of greenery and vines stretching across Gulf Harbour isn’t too bad either. This restaurant ensures that your meal will be nicely paired up with some of the best wine possible, so enjoy some seafood or a tasty cheese platter here and thank us later!

Elephant Hill Wine Estate and Restaurant
Another restaurant with stunning scenery and excellent wine, where local seafood and European-inspired cuisine has never tasted better. The combination of scrumptious, regularly-updated dishes and views of the vines will make your meal a truly enjoyable one.

SidArt
The food here is not only delicious, but also presented in the most beautiful manner. Sid Sahrawat’s creations are truly an art form – that paired up with views of Auckland’s skyline is everything you could ask for. Some of the dishes will surprise you with unusual ingredient pairings – such as pork and quail with cashew purée and sumac – but they will definitely not disappoint you. Additionally, new dishes are curated at the beginning of every month for the five and nine course tasting menu.

Whitebait
This restaurant, located in Wellington, specialises in local seafood which is prepared and presented sophisticatedly. Whitebait faces the waterfront, offering a relaxed and calm atmosphere to accompany the great dishes and extensive wine list. Desserts are also a favourite here, one example being the raspberry mille feuille with raspberry sorbet.
